Harding has been seen a lot in Veilguard so far in various trailers and the gameplay reveal, making it clear she'll meet Rook very early in the plot and help introduce them to Minrathous and other companions.
While the player does have the option to flirt with Tallis (and receive a kiss, depending on the player's choices during the DLC), it will have no effect on any romance they currently have with another character (though if present, all except Sebastian express jealousy). Aveline is a knight that you encounter during the prologue. You come across her and her husband, Wesley, fighting the darkspawn. Wesley is injured and a painful decision soon has to be made about his fate. Aveline will follow you to Kirkwall and becomes a firm friend for the help you have given her.

Fenris is an optional companion you Chucho recruit during Act 1 by completing the quest “A Bitter Pill”. He is a warrior who works best if you make Hawke a Rogue or a Mage. He doesn’t have a personality clash with anyone.

Carver, Hawke’s warrior brother, has a similar setup, but he at least has some autonomy and drama in his branching paths.
